Full-Featured Photoshop Is Coming To Your iPhone

Apple’s iOS will get the complete suite this October.

Adobe has revealed plans to bring a full-featured version of Photoshop to mobile, and you’ll be able to get it on iOS devices from October. A more substantial successor to the discontinued Photoshop Touch app is in the works under the codename of ‘Project Rigel’.

“Project Rigel is built in a way that serves the needs of professionals familiar with retouching tools on desktop, but more so for people unfamiliar with Photoshop tools like content-aware fill or spot healing,” Adobe’s Manu Anand told CNET.

Project Rigel will include many of the same editing tools as the desktop version of Photoshop, as well as additional services, such as a tool for adjusting facial features.

Adobe is expected to announce further details about the app, including a specific release date, at its MAX Conference in Los Angeles in October.

The new mobile Photoshop is also coming to Android devices at a later date.
